This post is for the last three weeks... I'm sorry I fell behind on posting my blogs, this month has been a busy one.
  • I really liked the idea of the internet awareness night, it is very important that we learn and teach others how to be safe when using the internet. The internet provides us with great information but can be dangerous if we aren't careful.
  • Microsoft publishers is one of my favorite programs! You can do so much with it, you can make flyers, cards, certificates, brochures and more. This is a helpful tool for teachers, the possibilities are endless. You can make brochures for back to school night or reading certificates.
  • There are so many different technology tools out there in today's world that can be used in our classrooms. Like iPods, iPads, interactive whiteboards, and clickers just to name a few. I researched interactive whiteboards and learned that they help student participation and knowledge retention because the information is presented in different formats. I would love to have an interactive whiteboard in my classroom one day.
  • Web 2.0 was fun to learn about. There are so many different sites out there that would be beneficial in the classroom, you just have to find them first. Monday's class was helpful to learn about some of the different web 2.0 websites out there.

Last week was interesting, I enjoyed both classes. I love kidspiration! It is a great tool for educators or anyone who wants to use it. I had a little trouble when I was trying to work on it using my personal computer but it wasn't too bad. It is a fun program. I have never worked with Picasa but I'm excited to learn how to use it! It looks like a lot of fun. Sorry my post is late, it was a crazy weekend.
